LACTULAX SYRUP is a constipation medicine that contains Lactulose. This drug is used to treat chronic constipation and portal-systemic encephalopathy, including hepatic pre-coma and hepatic coma.General Indications Chronic constipation. Hepatic coma and pre-coma : Daily maintenance dose : – Adult : 10-25 mL – Children 7-14 years : 10 mL; 1-6 years: 5-10 mL – Infants less than 1 year: 5 mL.How to use May be given with or without food.Attention Use caution in patients with Diabetes Mellitus and galactosemia. Not to be used > 1 week. Pregnancy Category : Category B: May be used by pregnant women.
